Image Description
Through Missions Literature Ministry (MLM), Bible study curriculum is going into fifty-nine countries around the world, including parts of the world that are closed to missionaries, such as the Middle East. Literature distribution has laid the foundation for missions work in several countries. After churches are planted, the literature continues to provide effective resources to win souls, disciple new believers, and build strong church ministries.
What is MLM?
Those who give to MLM supply Bible study curriculum materials to mission fields around the world free of charge. Mission churches that receive the material cannot afford to pay for it, so it’s through the generosity of many churches and individuals that they can have it. Here are just a few examples of how God is using MLM around the world:
•BMA churches in the U.S., at the end of the quarter, gather their used and surplus Sunday School books and send them to the BMAA Department of Missions, 9219 Sibley Hole Road, Little Rock, Arkansas, 72209-8874, where they are shipped and distributed throughout an eight-nation area of West Africa.
•Filipino missionaries are spreading throughout Southeast Asia, sharing the gospel and starting new churches. Countries like Cambodia, Myanmar, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, and Laos will need the Scriptures, gospel tracts, books, and small group Bible study materials.
•One of the principle areas of assistance to the Baptist Unions of Russia and Ukraine has been in producing literature for a growing Sunday School movement. MLM has also been instrumental in helping with the creation of editorial and publication staffs, training for writers, and conducting workshops for leaders and teachers.
•MLM has followed right along with the missionary expansion of the BMAA in Latin America – including Mexico and sixteen countries in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.
•In Portugal John Regueiras and his team of translators take English manuscripts and produce Sunday School resources in Portuguese. These materials are also distributed to several Portuguese-speaking countries in Africa.
